Dutch shipyard Heesen has released the first images of its third 50 metre steel displacement yacht Project Aura following her debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Christened Ocean Z, the 50 metre motor yacht joined her sisterships Omaha and Arkadia on the water earlier this year before she embarked on an impressive 2,000 nautical mile shakedown cruise from Rotterdam to Algeria. She was started on speculation and sold to an American owner in September 2021.
Project Aura features an automotive-inspired exterior profile by Clifford Denn paired with a “Scandinavian chic interior” designed by Reymond Langton that has been revealed for the first time. Light and contemporary minimalist furnishings are animated with colourful artwork throughout.
The main deck is home to a large curved sofa and armchairs with marble-topped cabinetry that acts as a natural divider between the lounge and a formal dining area forward. Meanwhile, the upper deck contains a more informal lounge space with features such as a wall-mounted entertainment system and discreet climate control to ensure maximum comfort when lounging or entertaining.
Ocean Z can accommodate up to 10 guests in five cabins. Four suites are located on the lower deck while a spacious, full-beam master stateroom is situated on the main deck forward.
With tender and toys conveniently stored on the main deck forward, guests can enjoy a split aft deck terrace overlooking an infinity pool and a large fixed-swim platform. Elsewhere, the yacht features a Jacuzzi, al fresco dining and a beach club aft with fold-out swim platforms. The toys and tenders meanwhile are stored on the foredeck.
Power comes from two MTU 8V4000 M63 engines for a top speed of 15 knots and a range of 3,800 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 13 knots.
